Keyani Faith First Birthday

On May 25th 2018 my princess was born. I remember like it was yesterday when at 36 weeks I went to my regular OBGYN appointment to check on the baby and an ultrasound was taken to see the positioning of the baby.

After the ultrasound I went to see the doctor and the nurse took my blood pressure. To my surprise my blood pressure was way too high. I had no symptoms so I had no idea this was even happening. I was sent immediately to the ER.

There after running different test and trying to bring my blood pressure down I had some important decisions to make. I was informed that the baby wasn’t kicking hard enough every so many minutes for me to be able to have naturally, exactly how I was planning on doing. The doctor told me I could be induced and hopefully have the baby next day or have a cesarean. He was pretty sure if we try to do this naturally I would end up having a C-section anyway but it was up to me what I wanted to do. I decided to have a C-section and the rest is history.

Happy birthday to my beautiful Keyani Faith. Mommy loves you so much. You are very special to us and because of you and your beautiful personality you are loved by so many people.

Looking at the positioning of the baby
I remember my brother telling me at this appointment after he saw the picture, “You are having a baby girl “.
I never thought having you was going to bring so much happiness into our lives
She loved the chocolate cake. However it took her awhile to realize what it was because the cake was frozen.
Her look lights up the room, just like her mommy.
Oh oh! She still not sure what is going on.

It feels good to touch this cake before even knowing this was a real cake
Just to look at this pictures melts my heart.
I love this picture. This cake was designed by the cupcake and it was delicious

Appreciating Your Teammates

This morning I was busy counting appreciation notes. Do you take the time to tell your teammates how much you appreciate them? Even your spouse, kids, family members, your coach, neighbors? I think taking the time to let people know how much you appreciate them says a lot about you and know that you are making a difference. Appreciation: “A recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something.” We are overwhelmed with the amount of appreciation notes that have been passed around in our office. This is just from this past week. #dentistrylife #appreciationpost #appreciatewhatyouhave #appreciate #teamwork #motivation #fungame #dentalgames #teamwork #teammates

She Is Almost ONE

I Have been waiting for this day to happen for a long time. Since I was carrying Keyani Faith I have had all this different ideas of the things we could do together and bond even more than what we already have. I wanted to have a mother and daughter photo session close to her turning one.

I found an awesome photographer referred by a friend and booked the session.

I had the idea of having pictures taken with the same dress I wore when I had my pictures taken when I was pregnant. I found a white dress for Keyani that I figured would look lovely on her and I just went for it.

I did so many things together with my mom growing up. We were inseparable. My goal is to do the same if not even more with Keyani. This is just the beginning of our beautiful journey.

I encourage you mothers out there to spend time with your children. Make memories. Make them feel important and that they matter to you. Make them feel they are the only thing you focus on when you are spending time one on one with them. They will sure appreciate that when they grow up. I know until this day I do!!

God Bless!

SHE IS ALMOST ONE!

We are getting ready for our First Photo session. I have been very excited about this day.
Big thank you to the Cupcake Company for making a delicious cake for this day
I was very satisfied with the way the session ended. Now we have to wait for the pictures to be ready.
We had to stand behind the photographer at times to make Keyani Faith Madden smile and laugh
One fact about Keyani is that she loves wearing hair bands. Since she wa born I made sure she gets use to them. For whatever reason she had nothing to do with her birthday hat. Thankfully we made it work.
I ordered my ballons from Amazon. I just fell in love with them. Then KK and I made it to Party City to get them blown up.

Leaving Party City. Unfortunately one ballon popped when I was putting them in the trunk. I made some ladies laugh pretty hard.
