Who should you hang out with?
I remember growing up how strict my parents and my grandparents were when it came to hanging out with people. I can’t even remember how many times they told me not to hang out with certain friends and it will upset me. I wish back then I knew what they were talking about.
Now I totally see and completely understand where they were coming from. However we as kids never see it that way.
It is so important to keep in mind that you often become the person who you hang out with, so if that’s the case choose your friends wisely. Expect positivity from them, respect, loyalty and true love. If you can’t get anything less than that you should ask yourself, if this a person my parents or grandparents would allow me to hang out with?

A true friend will be happy with your happiness and accomplishments. A true friend will help you when you are in need of help. A true friend will support you with your crazy ideas and definitely will not throw you under the bus.

I hope one day you can be like one of these powerful women or at least be a

friend of someone like them.

“Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself – and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That’s what real love amounts to – letting a person be what he really is.”

Have You Been Pulled From Too Many Directions?

If you feel pulled in any one direction and feel uneasy about it, these steps may help you get your life aligned:
1. Acknowledge.
Take some time to really look at your life, your state of mind, and how you’re feeling. Be honest with yourself and notice the areas of your life that you’re neglecting.
2. Examine.
Notice if you’re leaning more toward an internal or external focus, or if there are areas within each category that you would like to be more balanced.
3. Set Goals.
Look at the outline to help you decide which ways you want to balance your life. Make a list
4. Plan Tasks.
Make a list of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that you will need to do to achieve each of these goals. What have you tried in the past? Did it work? If not, what can you do differently?
5. Reflect.
What is the most important thing you’ve accomplished in the past? How did you stay focused toward this goal? How did you handle your fears, doubts, anxieties, worries, and negative self-talk? How does it feel to know that you accomplished the goal in spite of these parts of yourself?
6. Prepare.
What is your inner “stuff” that will try to keep you from sticking to your plan (fears, worries, doubts, negative self talk)? Can you specify the things you will say to yourself to push you off track? (For example: “Just one more bite, I’ll start eating better tomorrow”) Make a list.
7. Empower.
What do you need to remember in those times? What are things you can say to that self-sabotaging part of yourself? Be kind to yourself. Balance won’t feel good if you’re cruel to yourself in creating it!
8. Connect.
Is there a person or a tactic you can use to keep yourself supported, motivated, and focused in those hard times? I highly recommend connecting and sharing your inner process with someone. Find someone who can help you challenge your inner demons, and celebrate your little accomplishments.
9. Plan.
Just like accomplishing any goal in life, it takes time and effort to overcome your habitual patterns and create new ones. If you stay on track with this detailed and intentional process for three whole months, then there is a good chance you will create new habits
Can wait to hear how you are getting along with your BALANCE so far.

Principles

Just do it!

Balanced Life
- Take care of and nurture yourself. You cannot accomplish anything if you’re unhealthy. …
- Know what your priorities are. Balance does not entail cramming in every activity possible. …
- Create an efficient mindset. Be organized and plan ahead. …
- Expect the unexpected. …
- Maintain a positive mental attitude
- I feel #1 is the most important one of them all. You should take care of yourself and nurture yourself, if you don’t do it, nobody will do it for you.
- Many people start doing this after they are completely burned. Take care of yourself physically, mentally and emotionally.
- Prioritize your priorities. I picked the word balance this year because my baby. Now I need to definitely prioritize because I have someone who needs me 24/7 but at the same time a lot of other things need to be taken care of. I do a lot of planning myself. I have always liked to plan ahead but now is more imperative I plan.
- Lastly, maintaining a positive attitude is super important. Giving my energy to certain situations that is not even under my control is not an option anymore. Spending time with positive Energy, positive people and people who lift me up is highly expected. Do not waste your time dealing with bull…

Doing Good
Dr. Mac, Becky, and Janitza had the awesome opportunity to attend the Crown Council meeting in Vegas this year! They heard from tons of amazing speakers, including Mel Robbins, author of The Five Second Rule, and enjoyed all the activities focused on building a better self and a better team. They also hosted a booth teaching everyone about the work they do for Helping Haitian Angels. Dr. Mac and Becky founded a dental clinic at the Kay Anj Village in Haiti to help the orphans there receive proper dental care, and they are seeking out other amazing dentists and team members who can volunteer their time to help.
Who is your Favorite Motivational Speaker?

Melanie “Mel” Robbins is an American on-air CNN commentator, television host, author, and motivational speaker. Robbins is widely known for covering the George Zimmerman trial; her TED X talk, How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, with over 15 million views on YouTube alone; and her book, The 5 Second Rule.
At age 41, her life was a mess. She was unemployed. Facing bankruptcy. Marriage spiraling. Confidence shot. Hitting the bottle hard. She struggled just to get out of bed.
Every morning, the alarm clock would ring. She knew she should get up andeal but anxiety rushed in and she’d hit the snooze button instead. Here’s the thing. She wanted to change. She just couldn’t make herself do it. The smallest things felt impossible. She read books and bought journals. Nothing stuck. She prayed for motivation. It never came. There was literally always an excuse.
Her book is amazing and her inspirational talk today touched me.
It was an honor to have her autograph our books.
God bless,
Jani
