Imagine a relationship that is entirely focused upon you.
Imagine someone listening rather than just hearing you.
Imagine someone who holds you accountable to dreams and aspirations.
Whenever someone is asking open, explorative questions and listening deeply, they are coaching.
Coaching is simply asking questions.
A coach is like having a GPS. It takes you to places when you are asked the right questions.
A good coach listens with intentions.
Coaches really want to be curious about your life and tries to help you be successful in life. They have your best interests.
Coaching brings awareness, increases responsability and develops accountability.
It is impossible to improve or change something that you are not aware of.
In coaching the answer is always within the individual.
Most people do not think. People lacks awareness. 95 % of people rather die than think.
People are not equipped on how to think but what to think. School do not teach us how to think but what to think. Thinking is hard work. People don’t want to do it. We are not raised or programmed to do it.
In professional coaching the relationship is entirely focused on getting the results our participants want. They set the agenda. The coach’s role is to ensure the individuals’ agenda doesn’t get lost in the ebb and flow of the coaching interaction.
I think this are some of the things you must know about coaching.
